Canvas has been creating performances to be presented in traditional theater spaces, as well as at different kinds of alternative spaces.
“A theater stage is prepared with great technique facilities: a basic neutral space can be transformed into different kind of theatrical magic worlds that can be recreated in many other theaters; usually theater conditions create a more formal, distant relation with the public.

Alternative locations are not neutral spaces; they have usually their own particular characteristics which can be shared by public and the performers. In this way, the public becomes part of the total atmosphere, allowing a more personal, informal involvement. Their architecture and historical charge are quite often a great artistic challenge. “
